Our knives blend classic design inspired by traditional slip joints of the past with modern convenience, offering a pocket-fixed blade for everyday carry. Lucky Dog knives feature top-quality materials. Blade steels include CPM 3V, AEB-L, and 15N20. We have a selection of micarta or wood handle options, brass hardware, and a standard HOLSTEX® or Boltaron® sheath. They also come with a Discreet Carry Concepts pocket clip for added convenience that doesn’t require bulky belt carry. Our knives are not production made. They are designed in Iowa, USA and handmade by David Mary Custom in Canada. Each knife is unique.
The inspiration behind our name stems from our owner's faithful companion, Finn, a Wheaten Terrier known for his energy and charm. Originating from Ireland, Wheaten Terriers were once dubbed the 'Poor Man's Wolfhound,' and we believe Finn embodies the spirit of our brand.
Lucky Dog Knife Co. is the brainchild of Andrew Kidd, a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience. Based in the heart of the Midwest in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Andrew's passion for design has driven him to create everyday carry knives that you'll be proud to carry.
